Hair Touch Ups

As a teenager it's perfectly normal to dye your hair, in fact I've done it three times so far, and tonight I'll be dying it again.

My hair has been through so much, starting with the fact that I used to cut it when I was very little. I would cut it when I was bored and when my barbies had run out of hair for me to cut. I once thought of cutting my sister hair, but realized she would kill me if that happened.

After all that time of cutting and growing, my mom finally said that if I cut my hair one more time that she would shave it all off. Of course being an eight year old, I would do anything my mother told me not to do.(I'm still like that sometimes no lessons learned here)The next week she saw the small piece of hair on the floor and right away took me to the barber shop to get in cut all off.

My hair was originally a little past my shoulders at this point, but she had not gotten me a pixie, and in case you don't know what that means; it's a really short boy like hair cut like Anne Hathaway. Well at this point I was still looking pretty cute, and my sister 'T' went to my grandmothers a week later, and came back with the same hair cut. I secretly laughed because not only did my mother not like it, but 'T' couldn't really pull off the cute way I could.

After growing out for maybe 2nd-6th grade I had my hair around my mid back, it was long for a girl with crazy curly hair. When it was wet it went to my butt, just saying it was frigg'n long. So after a summer trip to my grandmother's and getting braces My mom decided to cut it off again. I mean to the shoulders, not another pixie, I would have died. So for the rest of the summer that happened. And for my birthday that year my mom finally let me get blonde highlighted bangs, it was so shitty after the a few months. All that year I could never figure out how to style my hair, do it was up most the time that year. After 7th grade I decided to rebel against my mom the way any teen would... no wait I didn't have sex and do drugs, I just dyed my hair black.

It took three days and myself actually telling her that I had  actually done it for her to realize. She ended up really not caring although the rest of the family did, my uncle would tease me. In the middle of the school year of 8th grade I decide to try and get back to my original light baby brown hair color, but even now I know that will never happen naturally or if I dye it. It's hard to get you official color back once you've dyed it.

But after spending the past year finding the perfect style and everything I'm finally going to dye it again to night, it's a 'Raspberry Truffle'oddly enough though it's not a red, it's more of an auburn red brown color, but it's nice. It's a lighter shade than the color I have now, the only sad part is that is will probably get hid of my slightly natural ombre from the blond bangs I had in the 6th grade. But I am ready to do something new.
